1. Auburn University’s Culinary Science Program
In 2022, Auburn University opened its state-of-the-art culinary center, the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Arts Center. The beautiful facility features a variety of programs and labs, including the Wine Appreciation Laboratory, Distilled Spirits Laboratory and the Culinary Exhibition Laboratory.

2. Shelton State Community College
Shelton State Community College’s Culinary Arts program offers both an associate degree and certificate programs. They’ve got a lineup of culinary electives that are both fun and educational—including Chocolate and Truffles and Specialty Breads.

3. University of North Alabama
The University of North Alabama offers a wide variety of 4-year programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts Management. Former students have gone on to be executive chefs and resort and hotel chefs.

4. Jefferson State Community College
The Jefferson State Community College Culinary and Hospitality Institute offers several ways to fulfill your culinary ambitions with programs in Culinary Apprentice, Culinary/Nutrition Science Management and Baking and Pastry. In addition, Jefferson State is accredited by both the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the American Culinary Federation (ACF).

5. Trenholm State Community College
Trenholm State Community College, located in Montgomery, offers a culinary program accredited by the American Culinary Federation. The program includes courses from Menu Design to Advanced Baking, and students have the opportunity to concentrate in in Hospitality Management.
