6 new + coming soon openings across Alabama—what you need to know

This month, a myriad of new businesses have been popping up all across the state. Keep reading for a run down of what’s new and coming soon in Alabama, including a new pizza joint and the re-opening of a beloved local art gallery.

1. Spring Street Station Oxford, AL

A new restaurant and live music venue is coming to Calhoun County. Spring Street Station is the newest venture of restauranteur Charlotte Hubbard, who runs Hubbard’s Out Back and Hubbard’s Off Main.

According to its website, the unique new project will be located in the Oxford Train Depot and embody elements of the city’s historic character. The menu will feature “upscale fast-food” with a full bar and a wide range of Alabama beers on draft. Construction has already begun, with plans to finally open Fall 2024.

2. Gallery 450 | Mobile, AL

This beloved Mobile attraction is finally re-opening! Gallery 450, a gallery and event venue that displays an ever-changing variety of diverse local art, has made the move to the Dauphin Way District. According to a post on Facebook, the new location has undergone a total remodel and should be ready to open this March.

3. Roma Italian Bistro | Sheffield, AL

The Shoals’ newest Italian spot is now open. Roma Italian Bistro, located right down the street from the famous Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, serves a variety of Italian-American classics like pizza, pasta dishes, fried ravioli and more.

4. El Patrón Mexican Restaurant | Lincoln, AL

There’s a new Mexican Restaurant coming soon to Talladega County. In a recent Facebook post, El Patrón Mexican Restaurant announced that they will be opening soon in Lincoln. The menu will feature all kinds of tasty margaritas as well as Mexican-inspired dishes like birria tacos, nachos, fajitas and more.

5. Pearl’s Restaurant Kitchen | Tuscaloosa, AL

Tuscaloosa’s newest restaurant is now open. Formerly a popular food truck, Pearl’s Kitchen has finally opened a brick-and-mortar location. Check out Pearl’s Kitchen for tasty recipes like loaded fries, fish plates, Philly cheesesteaks and much more.

6. Alabama Pizza Company | Rainbow City, AL

Who’s hungry for a slice? One of the state’s newest openings, Alabama Pizza Company, is now serving delicious New York style pizzas. The menu is full of signature pies, like the chicken Philly pizza, proscuitto pizza and even a Nutella pizza to satisfy your sweet tooth.
