Huntsville, looking for some spooktacular events? The search is over. We’ve decided to creep it real and give you the guide you’re looking for. Let’s have some skele-fun this October. Keep reading for the deets.

1. Monster Movies at the Mill

In need of a good scare? Every Saturday night in October, Lowe Mill will be showing a movie to send chills down your spine. Even better—this event is a drive-in.

3. Trunk-Or-Treat: Halloween Movie Night

Hosted by the Rocket City Trash Pandas, this is sure to be a fun night for the whole family. Enjoy trick-or-treating at Toyota Field, followed by a spooky movie—The Haunted Mansion.

4. Punkin’ Pickin’ Extravaganza

This event combines two fall favorites—a pumpkin patch and a train ride. Thanks to the North Alabama Railroad Museum, you’ll be taken by train to Normal, AL. Here, children 12 and under will pick out their perfect pumpkin. All aboard!

5. October Haunted Halloween Ghost Hunt

Join Paranormal Investigator & Psychic Medium Lesley Ann Hyde and the Southern Ghost Girls Tours & Paranormal Investigations on a search for paranormal activity. You’ll be given equipment to ghost hunt like a pro.

6. Halloween Party with The Stolen Faces

This Halloween Party features The Stolen Faces, a tribute to the Grateful Dead. You can enjoy food and drink specials all Halloween night long. Leave the kids at home—this event is for 19 and up. Don’t forget to put on your best costume, so you can compete in the costume contest.

7. Festifall

Huntsville Botanical Garden is celebrating the changing of seasons. Through ongoing October events within the garden, you are invited to get a firsthand look at Autumn’s takeover.

While you’re at the garden, be sure to keep an eye out for:

  • The scarecrow trail
  • Locally-grown pumpkins
  • 1949 Ford Tractor and wagon photo op
