1. The Trip to Bountiful—The Wetumpka Depot
From June 9th to June 11th, head over to The Wetumpka Depot to see Horton Foote’s The Trip to Bountiful, a moving play about an elderly woman escaping the big city to return to her roots. Laugh, cry and enjoy the show one last time this weekend.

2. The Marvelous Wonderettes
Celebrate Alabama Shakespeare Festival’s 50th anniversary with a show this weekend. Written and created by Rodger Bean, this successful off-Broadway production tells the story of four girls and how they conquer their dreams. You’ll hear classic hits such as “Lollipop,” “Dream Lover” and “Lipstick on Your Collar.”

3. The Fairy and the Lumberjack
Learn about Korean folklore by watching a popular children’s play with musical numbers. Presented by A-KEEP—a partnership and education program to help Alabama learn about Korean culture—this event tells a story about love and loneliness through the relationship between a fairy and a lumberjack.

4. Spring Fling Balloon Glow
For events around Montgomery that you can’t find elsewhere, you’ll want to visit the Spring Fling Balloon Glow. There will be food vendors, live entertainment, hot air balloons and more. Check out who will be performing:
- Friday—A Disco Night featuring DJ Oz and Lisa and The Illusions Band.
- Saturday—Experience a Classic Rock and Hip Hop Night with rock band King B.

The proceeds made will benefit BFA Balloon Camp, Brantwood Children’s Home and the Boys and Girls Club of Central Alabama.

5. 2nd Saturday Global City Fest Celebration of Native Americans
