A taste of fame: the food stylist behind Florence’s iconic Jack’s Place Bistro

From Hollywood to Florence- former film food stylist Jack White continues his work in the food business with his very own restaurant in Florence, AL.

Jack worked in Hollywood on film sets creating culinary masterpieces for a numerous amount of famous films and tv shows.

In 2018, Jack opened up Jack’s Place in Florence, AL to continue his passion for food and art. Keep reading for more information on Jack White and Jack’s Place.

For many years, Jack White made a living styling food for over 100 different films and tv sets. Jack worked on numerous noteworthy films and shows and has worked for incredible actors and directors.

We highly recommend eating at his restaurant, Jack’s Place, to experience his delicious and artistic dishes. Also within the restaurant is a wall lined with all of the films that Jack has worked on.

During Jack’s time working on films one of the most noteworthy movies he created food for is Catching Fire. Jack designed a 185 foot long buffet table covered in delicious and gorgeous food.

Along with styling food for films, Jack also catered events in Hollywood.

After numerous years working in the film industry, Jack opened up a restaurant of his own in 2018 in downtown Florence. Jack’s Place Bistro is an artsy little spot with delicious southern dishes served with a modern flare.

Many of the menu items are Jack’s favorite foods, and he also incorporates his work on films into the drink menu. All of the speciality cocktails served here are named after films that Jack has worked on.
