The Crimson Tide was a perfect 3-0 in the regional round, hosting for a 20th consecutive season. Alabama took down Virginia Tech, 3-2, in the regional final.

“It was a great final game of the weekend. For this team to get to 40 wins is one of the best accomplishments we’ve had as a program. It’s just very satisfying to see that ‘4-0’ right behind ‘Alabama.'”

Patrick Murphy, Alabama softball coach

It’s the 17th time the Tide advanced through the regional round without a loss.

Nine teams from the SEC are in the Super Regional round, tying the record for most teams from one conference in the round of 16.

The SEC could have broken the record but top-seed Texas A&M was upset in its own regional by Liberty + No. 10 LSU was eliminated before its regional final.

At least three SEC teams will advance to the WCWS including one of Alabama or Oklahoma. The other two in-conference matchups include Ole Miss at Arkansas + Georgia at Florida.
