There will still be plenty of football to watch this weekend but there might be more of us watching from our couch than inside of a stadium.

Five of the seven in-state Division I teams playing this weekend will hit be on the road Saturday, including a massive showdown between Alabama and LSU in Baton Rouge.

But there’s also another big HBCU rivalry game happening here at home this weekend.

Keep reading to find out more about both of those big games + see the complete schedule for the weekend and how you can watch every game from home.

Alabama at LSU

There may not be a more daunting setting in college football than a nighttime kickoff at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge.

That’s exactly the challenge that Alabama has awaiting for itself after a bye week. There’s plenty of pressure already building for this game as both team’s enter with two losses, making it a likely make-or-break game for both teams’ playoff hopes.

“Whether that is what it is or not, that’s how we’re gonna approach it even though we really don’t need to say too much in regards to that. We’re just focusing on what we can do right now in the moment and really honing in on the kind of mindset that you’re only as good as your last play.”

Kalen DeBoer, Alabama coach

Alabama was ranked #11 in the initial playoff rankings with LSU at #15.

Miles at Tuskegee

We know the Magic City Classic gets most of the attention when it comes to the state’s HBCU football rivalries but don’t sleep on this weekend’s game between Miles and Tuskegee.

Not only is it homecoming weekend for the Golden Tigers, it is also a crucial game for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Miles is 7-0 in conference play and will host next week’s SIAC Championship Game but who they will face is still to be determined. Tuskegee could get a rematch with the Bears if:

  • Tuskegee beats Miles
  • AND a Fort Valley loss
  • AND a Clark Atlanta loss
  • AND an Allen loss

Miles has won four of the last five meetings between the two teams but still trails the all-time series 7-6.
