Alabama gets #8 seed, heading to Ann Arbor
After a second-place finish at the SEC Championships last weekend, the Crimson Tide are riding a wave of momentum in the postseason. It’s the second straight season Alabama has taken the eighth seed in the NCAA Tournament which, by ranking, puts them as a favorite to make it to the NCAA Championships but it’s never as easy as it is on paper.
The Crimson Tide will travel north to Ann Arbor, Michigan. It will share a regional with host #9 Michigan and defending champion #1 Oklahoma.
The regional is separated into two pods before a regional final will feature the top two teams from both pods. Then the top two teams from the regional final will advance. Here are the teams competing in Ann Arbor.

Alabama last won a team national championship in 2012, now enduring its longest title drought since it won its first one in 1988. The Crimson Tide is looking to make its return to the national championships after missing last season’s final.
Auburn set for trip to West Coast
The Tigers received the #14 overall seed and will have a long trip to make next week, heading to California for the Berkeley Regional. Auburn finished seventh in the SEC Championships by posting its lowest score since January.

Auburn is the third highest ranked team in the regional. Here’s the full list of teams competing in California with the top two advancing to Fort Worth.
