Alabama Power Anniston office renovation among new high-dollar building permits

This past week, 19 new building permits were issued across the state for construction projects exceeding $1 million. The majority of these projects (16, in fact) are located in either the Birmingham or Huntsville metros.

Alabama Power’s $6.9 million Anniston office renovations

The $6.9 building permit issued for Alabama Power are for renovations to the Quintard Avenue site in Anniston. Renovations include upgrades to building systems and customer service areas, with completion expected by May 2026. Construction for the project began Aug. 25.

The drive-through office at 101 E. 10th St. will continue operating during the project, according to Alabama Power.

Murray Construction Co. is listed as the lead contractor for this project.
