From the Gulf Coast to the Appalachian Mountains, Alabama State Parks Division is in charge of 21 state parks that cover 48,000 acres of land and water. With over 250 miles of trails and so many fun activities, it’s no surprise that these parks get 6.2 million visitors every year.
Wondering what the economic impact of all of that is? Well, Alabama State Parks employs 580 people and the parks have a $375 million economic impact every year. Talk about a lot!
