Rike’s Tacos has grown from a small food truck to multiple locations across the Wiregrass, becoming a staple of the community.
Now, the taco spot is earning some national attention.
America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow is coming to town to highlight Rike’s Tacos in Troy. Here’s what you need to know:

Rike’s Tacos in Troy
The family owned restaurant started eight years ago when Isabel Castillo and her two sons, Anthony and Rike Tzanahua, opened a taco truck outside their home in Ariton.
The family now has three brick and mortar locations while still taking its truck to different events across the Wiregrass region.
“Being named and recognized in America’s Best Restaurant roadshow means a lot to us. It is a great milestone for us to reach with many more to come. We are still really young. We are the youngest owners to be featured. We always had big dreams when we were young we have had tons of great memories and experiences from cooking on live tv to meeting influencing people and have come a long way with no restaurant experience at all.”

Rike’s Tacos puts their own twist on a typical taco truck menu that includes corn or flour tortillas with options such as:

- Chicken
- Al pastor
- Chorizo
- Carnitas

America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow
The web-based show will be in Troy on Oct. 29, highlighting another Alabama restaurant. The show previously showcased Front Porch Grill in Millbrook and Pappy’s Place in Scottsboro.
America’s Best Restaurants Roadshow has over 20,000 subscribers on YouTube. The crew travels the country to highlight locally loved restaurants and the people behind them.
