It is one of a kind
The 15th Annual Alabama Butterbean Festival will kick off this weekend on Friday, October 1 from 6-10PM to Saturday, October 2 9AM-4PM. The City of Pinson is happy with how much the event has grown and to host it once again.
“It was originally a community fair. We used to have greased pigs, pole climbing and more. We’ve sort of made it modern.”
Ronnie Dixon, Executive Director, Pinson Chamber of Commerce
The festival’s original pole climbing and pig wrestling was eventually traded for a bungee jumping attraction and a Ferris wheel. Soon after, fireworks became a part of the tradition.

What to expect this year
The year, the Butterbean Festival will host a 17-minute firework show. It will be a show that you won’t experience anywhere like you would here, according to Dixon. The show will be on main street—exploding right above your head.
The event will also have live musical entertainment from Season 17 Champion of The Voice, the Jake Hoot Band. He will take the Pinson Main Street stage at 2:30PM on Saturday.
Look forward to a weekend full of live music, great food and fun activities like arts & crafts. But wait, there’s more—you can also have a blast at The C & M Entertainment Carnival that will be making an appearance at the event.
- Admission: Armbands $20 each | Tickets $1 each or 12 for $10
