Auburn Basketball kicks off 2021-22 season + 2 exciting signings

On Tuesday, November 9 in the Auburn Arena, Auburn Men’s Basketball tipped off the season with a 77-54 win in the opener against the Morehead State Eagles. The season is in full swing, so let’s dive in for all you need to know.
The Fans
With two wins under their belt, Auburn Basketball fans are fired up. The student section, The Auburn Jungle, is now an official student organization. They pride themselves on having “the loudest roar in the country,” creating a huge home court advantage. The season-opener was the first game back in the Auburn Arena since COVID-19, and the fans were definitely ready to be back.
Two new signings
Amidst all of the excitement, head coach Bruce Pearl announced the signing of two new players on Tuesday, November 16. Since signing their letters of intent, the fanbase has grown even more spirited. Let’s meet the new Auburn Tigers:
- Chance Westry is a four-star prospect from Pheonix, Arizona. Ranked number 32 in the ESPN 100, he has an impressive background and has already made a name for himself in the sports world.
- Tre Donaldson signed as a four-star guard from Tallahassee, Florida. This impressive two-sport athlete is sure to be a key player for Auburn’s team.
