Auburn Football ranked in AP top 25 for first time in 4 years

The drought is over. For the first time since November 2021 the AP College Football poll has ranked the Auburn Tigers in the top 25.

Thanks to a decisive 42-3 victory over Ball State from the Mid-American Conference, the 2-0 Tigers are now ranked 24th nationally

Up Next – South Alabama

This coming Saturday the Tigers play cross state rival University of South Alabama. On September 20th, the Plainsmen will take on the Oklahoma Sooners for their first SEC game of 2025 at Norman, Oklahoma.

The SEC continues to dominate college football with an impressive 11 teams in the AP top 25.

They are ranked accordingly:

  • #6 Georgia
  • #7 Texas
  • #11 South Carolina
  • #13 Oklahoma 
  • #15 Tennessee
  • #16 Texas A&M
  • #17 Ole Miss
  • #19 Alabama
  • #24 Auburn
  • #25 Missouri

Auburn plays five of the currently ranked SEC teams on their 2025 schedule – Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Missouri and Alabama.
