A life-changing collaboration

It’s always beautiful when two non-profits come together for the greater good.

Both Auburn University and Children’s Harbor have previously worked together to host Auburn’s dietic and nursing interns, as well as Auburn’s Assistant Professor in Landscaping, Dr. Frank Hu, led a design studio for Children’s Harbor. Now, the two non-profits plan on furthering their outreach by creating opportunities for students to serve families who need it the most.

Children’s Harbor and Auburn University share the same goal: to uplift the community.

While Children’s Harbor provides free services and medical treatment, the Auburn Outreach program ensures a broad social and economic impact. When combined, these two organizations double the impact.

  • Internships + clinical placements: Auburn students will receive mentoring and hands-on experience while supporting Children’s Harbor programs
  • Shared resources: Auburn Outreach will provide support in grant writing and access to university expertise, while Children’s Harbor will offer meeting space and collaboration opportunities

“Our students benefit from real-world experience, and families facing medical hardship receive increased support. This collaboration puts our shared mission into action.”

Royrcikers Cook, Vice President for University Outreach, according to a press release
