Be Healthy School grant applications are now open for K-8 schools across Alabama, provided by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. The grants, which can total up to $10,000, are to fund implementation of school-based health and wellness programs that emphasize increased exercise and nutrition education. Be Healthy School Grants
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is committed to keeping Alabama healthy and active, and their Be Healthy School grant program brings education on nutrition and exercise to children across our state to combat childhood obesity.
For the 2022—2023 school year, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama pledges to award $250,000 to K-8 schools in Alabama. The recipients will join the 119,000+ students who have already benefitted from the grants, with donations totaling more than $2.3M since 2012!
