Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama is committed to keeping Alabama healthy and active, and their Be Healthy School grant program brings education on nutrition and exercise to children across our state to combat childhood obesity.

For the 2022—2023 school year, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama pledges to award $250,000 to K-8 schools in Alabama. The recipients will join the 119,000+ students who have already benefitted from the grants, with donations totaling more than $2.3M since 2012!

“We continue to see firsthand excellent results in schools across our state that are benefitting from the Be Healthy School Grant Program. We are proud to make this investment in Alabama’s children in an ongoing effort to help them lead the healthiest lives possible, now and long-term.”
