Recently, several new and cool places have sprouted up in the small town of Opelika, Alabama. Botanic is the newest soon-to-be opening on that list of spots, and we can’t wait. We have gathered all the information you need to know about this exciting new opening in Opelika!

Botanic’s Roots

If you’re familiar with the Auburn/Opelika area, chances are that you’ve heard of Stacy Brown and King Braswell. Stacy Brown is the creator of Chicken Salad Chick, and her husband, King Braswell, is the mastermind behind the beloved Crêpe Myrtle Café (gone but never forgotten) and Blooming Colors. Talk about a power couple!

Now the duo is on to their next adventure and success story. The married couple is opening up a new place in Opelika called Botanic. With their extensive background in the food industry, horticulture, landscaping and more, we couldn’t be more excited.

They have chosen the location of Botanic to be in the old Cock of the Walk building, which just gives it a cool history. The spot was perfect for them to settle into and start planting their roots (literally). They started building on this unique location in January and continue to get it ready for the public.

What Exactly is Botanic?

Botanic is an entire experience! It is a place for people to come gather together and have a good time in a beautiful spot. There are many parts to this neat place, it is not just your regular new opening.

Botanic will offer 2 farm-to-table dining areas—a garden area and an indoor grill. The garden dining area will offer a retractable roof to combat the elements, and the indoor grill will have an amazing view of the pond and grounds. Both of these options will offer classic Southern home-cooked meals, made with fresh produce grown on site.

In addition, Botanic will also include a stunning greenhouse nursery to browse through during your time here. And don’t forget about the garden shop! Visitors are encouraged to walk around the grounds to feed the turtles and ducks in the pond.

And that’s not all. Once open, Botanic will offer a live music venue for local artists to come perform for their guests! While you are listening to music, why not grab a drink at the bar? Yes, I said bar.

It just keeps getting better. Botanic will have a market with local makers, where you can find baked goods and many other goodies.

But wait, there’s more! They have future plans of creating cute cottages across the pond for guests to stay overnight. Does this not sound like the most dreamy place?
