Carnival Cruise Line will resume year-round operations from the Port of Mobile beginning in the spring of 2027.

The announcement was made jointly today by the City of Mobile and the popular cruise line’s President Christine Duffy.

Mobile made substantial investments

Since 2023, Carnival has been sailing six months out of the year from the Port of Mobile on the cruise ship Carnival Spirit.

In recent years, the City of Mobile has made substantial investments in the passenger facilities at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal, including a new gangway.

“The return to year-round sailings from the Port of Mobile is a testament to our relationship with Carnival and the incredible effort the staff at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal puts in to making sure every passenger that comes through Mobile has an exceptional experience. This is great news for Mobilians and the many businesses that rely on our city’s thriving tourism industry.”

Mayor Sandy Stimpson

The return of year-round cruising from Mobile is part of Carnival’s commitment to remain accessible to 50 percent of the U.S. population living within a five-hour drive of a Carnival homeport.
