Broken Items? Get them repaired at the Tuscaloosa Public Library for free
Reading time: 2 minutes
We all have something broken collecting dust in the back of our closet. Luckily, the Tuscaloosa Public Library is opening a free repair cafe on January 25th. Keep reading for more details on the event.
What can I bring?
To answer this in short, anything that’s portable enough to be carried to the second floor. Here’s a list of some items you can bring in:
- Clothes
- Linens
- Stuffed animals
- Small appliances
- Electronics
- Jewelry
- Glasses
- Furniture
- Bicycles
- Typewriters
Building the Tuscaloosa community
Tuscaloosa Public Library plans to bring the community with this event. Volunteers will repair broken items for those who bring them in for free. If it’s determined that the volunteers don’t have the necessary parts or that the repair will take too long, you’ll be referred to a local business or hardware store.
On top of the cafe building community, the repair cafe aims to reduce waste. We hope to see more events take place like this!
