Buc-ee’s plans to break ground in Auburn on October 27

Buc-ee’s has taken our state by storm with its debut of two locations in Leeds and Robertsdale. Auburn plans to break ground on Alabama’s third location next week. Read on for all the inside scoop.

You probably already heard the buzz around town when we found out this opening was official, but we’re here to make it real. Buc-ee’s will officially be breaking ground this Wednesday, October 27. Auburn City Council approved this location back in May, and we finally get to see this popular attraction come to life.

Mayor Ron Anders along with city officials plan to join Buc-ee’s leadership to kick off construction on the store at the groundbreaking ceremony. This will take place at the future location, right off of Exit 50 on I-85.

What does this mean for Auburn?

Whether you’re traveling from Georgia or Montgomery, this is the perfect spot for a fun, family-friendly pit stop in Auburn. The 53,470 square foot store will offer 120 fueling stations as well as create 175 full-time jobs for state residents.
