About Cammie’s Old Dutch

Cammie’s Old Dutch—which you’ll also hear called “Cammie’s” and “Old Dutch”—is an institution in Mobile. They’ve been serving up scoops of homemade ice cream for over 55 years.

The “Ice Cream Lady,” Cammie Wayne, has been running the store since 1998 when she bought the shop from the first owner, Edwin Widemire. The Fairhope location is the third Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream shop, they have a shop on Old Shell Road + Halls Mill Road.
