WATCH: Another Alabama singer impresses during blind audition on The Voice

Singers from Alabama continue to put their mark on the newest season of The Voice on NBC.

A pair of performances were included in the season premiere when Caroline Alexis of Ozark and Joe Henley of Grand Bay both joined fellow Alabama native and new coach Riley Green.

But Mobile native Anna McElroy decided to go in a different direction after getting three chair turns during her blind audition. Watch her perform “80s Mercedes” by Maren Morris.

Coaches Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah both turned their chairs in the first 30 seconds of McElroy’s performance but Riley Green joined the bidding war.

After McElroy said she was from Alabama and gave a signature “Roll Tide,” it seemed like a foregone conclusion she would be joining Team Riley.

But Clarkson was convincing, pointing to her experience on the show which has included coaching winning singers.

And that was enough for McElroy, who chose to join Team Kelly, shocking the crowd and the other coaches.
