Christmas parades across Alabama rescheduling due to rainy forecast

Several Alabama communities have decided to postpone their December 1st & 2nd Christmas parades and holiday events due to rain in the forecast.
Christmas parades and lighting rescheduled
Much-anticipated events such as the city of Gadsden’s Friday night parade and the opening of the 21-day Christmas on the Coosa ice skating experience have been rescheduled.
As of Friday morning, the lighting of the Capital’s Christmas tree on Friday evening and the Demopolis 50th Annual Christmas on the River on Saturday are still on.
Below is a list of rescheduled parades across the state:
- Fairhope Christmas Parade – December 7th
- Gadsden Christmas Tree Lighting and Boat Parade – December 8th
- Prattville Christmas Parade — December 8th
- Foley Christmas Parade – December 9th
- Millbrook Christmas Parade and Festival – December 9th
