Excitement is growing as The Flying Fifty boutique hotel is inching closer to opening in Cullman. And now, the hotel has posted its official date for a grand opening event next month.

The hotel will be providing tours of the hotel and will soon have a way for people to book rooms. Here’s what you need to know:

What is The Flying Fifty?

The Flying Fifty was a group of men (48 of them, actually) who transformed the history of Cullman. Here’s how the founders of The Flying Fifty Hotel, Challie and Paul Knetter, tell the story.

The new hotel, paying tribute to that group, will feature seven suites, each based on different aspects of Cullman’s history and heritage. In addition, you’ll find locally-made products throughout the hotel, spotlighting both the past and present of the community.
