Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Que was one of the 467 teams that got ready to cook up their most tasty dishes in Kansas City from September 16-19.

The American Royal World Series of Barbecue has been going strong for 41 years. Held at the Kansas City Speedway, the American Royal is the world’s largest barbecue competition.

After missing the competition the past two years, Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Que was ready to get things heated up and they didn’t play around…

Decatur, you’ve got a treasure in your hometown.

According to their Facebook, Chris Lilly, Owen Lilly and Andrew Lilly fired up the grill and served some mouthwatering barbecue. They brought home the Legends of Royal Reserve Grand Championship, a YETI cooler and a blue ribbon to commemorate the win.

They also brought back their flavorful recipes to Sweet Home Alabama. If you haven’t tried Big Bob Gibson’s yet, this is good news for you.
