Do you want to be the new voice of the Auburn Tigers? Here’s how.
Reading time: 2 minutes
Auburn Athletics has some big shoes to fill this year—the announcers. The Tigers are looking for public address announcers and singers for the pre-game National Anthem.
We’ve got the details on how to audition—and what they’re looking for.
ISO: Public Address Announcer
Auburn needs a “Pubic Address” announcer—that’s the guy (or gal!) who hypes up the team at the start of the game, announces the t-shirt tosses and welcomes fans to the stadium.
The football team doesn’t need an announcer, but these sports do:
- Baseball
- Basketball (men’s + women’s)
- Equestrian
- Gymnastics
- Soccer
- Softball
- Swimming & Diving
- Tennis (men’s + women’s)
- Volleyball
To audition, you’ll read off a sample script and email that file to staff at Auburn. You’ll also select which sports you’re interested in and the days/times you’re available.
ISO: National Anthem Singer
And if you think you’ve got what it takes to sing the National Anthem before tipoff, here’s the sports looking for a singer:
- Volleyball
- Basketball (men’s + women’s)
- Gymnastics
- Baseball
- Softball
Similarly to the announcer auditions, you’ll submit a video clip of you singing to the athletics staff. You can request specific sports here, too. From there, staff will reach out to you about callbacks – and, hopefully – games to sing at.
