Ella Langley wins 5 ACM awards including Female Artist of the Year

Alabama native Ella Langley is one of the fastest-rising musicians across the country and she added even more to her career resume Sunday night at the 61st annual Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

After being named the New Female Artist of the Year in 2025, Langley’s stock has only grown even more. Sunday night, the Hope Hull native took home five more ACM Awards including:

  • Female Artist of the Year
  • Song of the Year
  • Single of the Year
  • Music Event of the Year
  • Artist-Songwriter of the Year

Langley beat out other big names like Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini and Miranda Lambert.

Her song “Choosin’ Texas,” which has been at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine straight weeks, won her the awards for Song and Single of the Year.

Langley teamed up with fellow Alabama native Riley Green for the song “Don’t Mind If I Do” which won Music Event of the Year.

In the past year, Langley also won her first CMA Awards + was named to Forbes annual 30 Under 30 list.

Red Clay Strays win Group of the Year

It was not just Langley who got to represent our state on the national stage Sunday night.

The Red Clay Strays beat out bands like Rascal Flatts, 49 Winchester and Flatland Calvary to win the ACM Group of the Year. The win comes just a few months after winning Vocal Group of the Year at the CMA Awards.

The band also got to perform their song “Demons in Your Choir” during the show.
