The spotlight may have been on Simone Biles for most of the week but that didn’t take any pressure off defending all-around gold medalist Suni Lee.

And while she may not have been the favorite to walk away with gold again in Paris, she put together a strong finish during Thursday’s all-around final to get on the podium.

Keep reading to find out more about Lee’s two medals at the 2024 Olympics.

Bronze in all-around finals

It wasn’t the smoothest start to the night for Suni Lee, falling well short of her average score on vault and sitting in fifth place after the first two rotations. However, she came through on her biggest events to sneak on to the podium at the last second.

Here’s how Lee finished the all-around event:

  • Vault: 13.933
  • Uneven bars: 14.866
  • Beam: 14.000
  • Floor: 13.666

Lee entered her floor routine needing a 13.534, barely surpassing the mark to clinch a spot on the podium. She was eventually passed by teammate and gold medalist Simone Biles and Brazil’s Rebecca Andrade.

Team USA wins gold

Suni Lee also played a crucial role in the U.S. women’s team returning to the top spot in the Olympics. It may have been expected with the return of Simone Biles but the team lived up to expectations and then some.

Here’s how the medal podium ended up:

  • Gold: USA – 171.296
  • Silver: Italy – 165.494
  • Bronze: Brazil – 164.497

Lee participated in three of four rotations including:

  • Bars: 14.566
  • Beam: 14.600
  • Floor: 13.533

Although she is not completely finished with her second Olympic appearance, Lee now has five medals to her name. She will hope to add to her medal count in a pair of apparatus finals. Here’s how you can watch:

  • August 4: Uneven bars: 8:45AM – NBC and Peacock
  • August 5: Balanced beam: 8:30AM – NBC and Peacock
