One of the Shoals’ very own Katie Terry, is in the running for a national contest supporting entrepreneurs. The contest is called Entrepreneur of Impact. If she wins it will give her an opportunity to be mentored by Shark Tank’s Daymond John, receive an advertorial in Forbes and cash prize of $25,000.

First things first- about the Entrepreneur of Impact.

It is a contest to highlight and recognize entrepreneurs who are making a meaningful difference in their communities and industries. The competition focuses on the social impact and innovation of the entrepreneurial ideas or practices.

Here is an excerpt from Katie’s Page on The Entrepreneur of Impact site, Katie explains why this contest matters.

“My desire is to increase access to doula services in my community and the state of Alabama. My passion is supporting sustainable doula practices for more long term, experienced birth workers. I would use this funding to help support efforts for doula access and fund their services to support those in most need in Alabama.”
