Reading time: 2 minutes

Wallace State Community College will appear in an Amazon Prime show that features authentic student stories premiering Thursday, April 16.
The local Hanceville and Wallace State communities, however, have a chance to catch it on the screen before it makes its Amazon Prime debut.
The show, “The College Tour,,” profiles colleges from around the country, bringing the touring experience to students who may not be able to travel around to different schools.
Currently, the only other Alabama college or university that has been profiled is Alabama A&M University — check out season 12, episode 6 on Amazon Prime.
The Prime show’s website says “each student-driven segment gives the audience an inside look at what it’s truly like being a student at the featured college or university.”
The upcoming episode will feature five students:
- Diana Boatright of Locust Fork
- Jackson Flanigan of Cullman
- Johnathan Gray of Daphne
- ReAnna Rusk of Fairview
- Anna Wynn of Huntsville
President Vicki Karolewics also appears in a one-on-one interview with host Alex Boylan.
Wallace State will host an exclusive watch party for its campus’ episode at noon on Wednesday, April 15, in the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre in the Gudger Student Center, located at 36 Lions Lane in Hanceville.
The watch party will not only give attendees the opportunity to watch the episode before it goes public, but it will also offer:
- The opportunity to meet the featured students who shared their experiences on the show
- Red carpet photo opportunities
- Free lunch
Can’t catch the watch party? Wallace State Community College’s episode will go live on Amazon Prime on Thursday, April 16, available to watch with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.
