Hulu expands slate with “Love in Fairhope”

The reality mini-series Love in Fairhope is sticking around. Hulu just announced that they ordered Love in Fairhope along with other unscripted series for the next year. Keep reading to learn more information about the show and filming details.

Here’s what we know

Love in Fairhope tells the story of five generations of women living in the quaint town of Fairhope. The official logline of the show explains that in a community where everyone knows everyone, no one knows where hopelessly romantic dreams will take them.

Reese Witherspoon is an executive producer alongside Sara Rea, Alex Baskin, Lauren Weber, Brian McCarthy, Joe Kingsley and Benton Bohannon. Evolution Media, Hello Sunshine and Tremont Road are the studios contributing to this production.

Witherspoon—known for her Southern charm—is no stranger to big screen production. Her producing credits also include Where the Crawdads Sing and Daisy Jones & the Six.

According to a producer in a recent interview, the show is set to premiere in September.

Fairhope’s response to filming

The Eastern Shore has been in the spotlight since the announcement of Love in Fairhope. Mayor Sherry Sullivan touched on the impact filming has on the city of Fairhope in an interview with WKRG.

“Anytime you bring filming to your community I think it’s great. This is our third production this year. We’ve had two earlier this year. It’s good for the economy.”
