Huntsville, here are 3 ways to support your local healthcare heroes

The Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees has launched a new way for community members to support healthcare workers—the Healthcare Heroes Fund. As COVID-19 has continued to impact the lives of these healthcare workers, Huntsville has been looking for a way to send support to these local heroes. Keep reading for more details.

1. Help boost morale

With the surge in COVID-19 cases, additional hours are required to keep up with the demands of patients. Who couldn’t use a pick-me-up? You can send morale boosters to specific hospital units.

It is suggested you gather 30 to 100 of any item to reach as many healthcare workers as possible. These items could be gift cards, coffee, on-the-go snacks or even a handwritten card to show your support.

This is a great way to get your company, organization, school group, church group, friends or family involved.

The Healthcare Heroes Fund is a way to donate to healthcare workers at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children and Madison Hospital.

Your tax-deductible donation to the Healthcare Heroes Fund will be used for morale boosters, to fund meals in COVID units or providing emergency assistance to employees.

According to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees, the best way to help your local healthcare workers is to encourage the best practice of COVID-19 protocols.

If you are vaccinated, you can feel certain you are doing your part to ease the strain COVID-19 has on Huntsville’s healthcare heroes.

Is someone in your workplace or immediate circle unvaccinated? You can offer to incentives, giveaways and even drawings.

If you are unvaccinated, keep masking up.
