Ice skating enthusiasts, we have exciting news for you. There’s a brand new ice skating rink at Montgomery’s Riverfront Park from Saturday, December 17-31. Read on to learn how you can skate this holiday season.
Skating on the Riverfront
As part of Montgomery’s Home for the Holidays activity series, Skating on the Riverfront is making it easy for the community to have fun on the ice. The ice skating rink at Riverfront park is due to the collaboration of Mayor Steven L. Reed, City Council President Charles Jinright and Council Pro Tem Cornelius Calhoun.
On Saturday, December 17, holiday cheer will be spread when the rink officially opens to the public. Plus, award-winning figure skater Jordan Stokes, a Montgovermy native, will be attending the grand opening. She has skated with the United States Figure Skating Institute and the Magic City Theater on Ice team. Maybe Jordan will show off some of her tricks on ice!

- Where: Riverfront Park, 355 Commerce St, Montgomery, AL 36104
- Cost: $3, cash only for skate rentals
