In-state teams prep for midseason challenges in Week 7: Full schedule + how to watch
Last week was undoubtedly not a strong week for college football teams in our state but there’s still half a season to play and teams are looking to bounce back right away.
This week’s slate of games begins with another midweek game featuring Jacksonville State on ESPN2 Wednesday night. But some teams will be using a midseason bye week to reset including:
- Auburn
- South Alabama
- Troy
While the Auburn Tigers are hoping the bye week can turn their season around, Troy and South Alabama are getting this weekend off ahead of their rivalry game that is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Week 7 schedule
We’ve had midweek games featuring in-state teams already this season but they’re getting earlier and earlier the deeper we get into the 2024 season.
This week, Jacksonville State will host the first game of the week in primetime on national TV. The Gamecocks are three-touchdown favorites as they host New Mexico State.
West Alabama is still unbeaten and is ranked in the top 15 in Division II. The team will travel to play winless Mississippi College this weekend.
