Earlier this month, In-N-Out Burger, the popular hamburger joint from California with a cult-like following, announced plans to establish its first Eastern U.S. corporate office in Franklin, Tennessee.

By 2026, we should expect to see In-N-Out locations opening in the Volunteer State, according to their news release.

Alabama Locations?

Since only 70 miles separate Franklin, Tennessee to the Alabama stateline, as burger lovers — we had to ask In-N-Out the question that is on everyone’s mind…

Is In-N-Out coming to Alabama?

The Answer

To In-N-Out’s credit, CEO Denny Warnick wrote back within hours to The Bama Buzz with the following  response:

While our expansion to the Nashville area will put us closer to many states that have traditionally been out of reach for In-N-Out, growth within the state of Tennessee will be our focus in the region for near future.

We have received many thoughtful requests from our Customers in many areas of the country since our recent announcement, and we’re grateful for all of them.

Thanks again for contacting us.

Take care,

Denny Warnick -Chief Operating Officer

While we appreciate Warnick’s kind response, we do want him to know there is a huge In-N-Out fanbase here in Bama.

Four years ago, on April Fool’s, Bham Now—The Bama Buzz’s sister publication—posted the Instagram story below on the prospect of In-N-Out coming to Birmingham. We received over 1100+ comments, the wide majority expressing excitement about In-N-Out setting up shop in the Magic City and their disappointment when they discovered it was an April Fool’s Day prank.
