Reading time: 1 minute

Fabric and craft retailer JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores is going out of business and shutting down stores across the country, including all remaining locations in Alabama.
JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores closing all Alabama locations

In January, the JOANN twice filed for bankruptcy, following a decline in business due to factors like online competition and evolving customer habits. As part of the bankruptcy, the Ohio-based fabric and craft chain closed roughly 500 of its 850 locations nationwide; including three in Alabama:
- Florence – 354 Cox Creek Parkway
- Montgomery – 7951 Eastchase Parkway
- Tuscaloosa – 1702 Veterans Memorial Parkway
Today, JOANN announced it will be closing all stores as part of the liquidation process, including the two remaining Alabama locations:
- Hoover — 1709 Montgomery Hwy, Hoover, AL 35244
- Huntsville — 5900 B University Dr, Huntsville, AL 35806
According to a JOANN’s press release, customers will be able to purchase items at substantial discounts during the going-out-of-business sale.
