Lake Martin property to reopen as boutique hotel and private summer club
Reading time: 3 minutes

A longtime Lake Martin property is being transformed into a new boutique hospitality destination.
Entrepreneur and real estate developer Spencer Mann, owner of JSM Property & Development, recently purchased the former Creekside Lodge & Event Center in Dadeville and plans to reopen it as Creekside Lodge at Lake Martin, a boutique hotel and private summer club in the Blue Creek area.
The 3.5-acre waterfront property includes a 20,000-square foot lodge with 24 hotel rooms and three two bedroom suites, along with a 10,000 square foot restaurant and clubhouse overlooking the lake.
Additional amenities include:
- Pool
- Hot tub
- Open air pavilion
- Boardwalk + swimming dock
- Boat ramp + waterfront gathering areas
According to Mann, the redevelopment aims to bring new life to a property that has long been part of the Lake Martin community.
“I’ve been coming to Lake Martin for a long time and I always wondered how such a great waterfront property could be so underutilized,” Mann said. “Finally one day I decided to track down the owner. We connected and worked out a deal within just a couple of days.”
A summer membership concept

One of the key features of the project is a seasonal membership program that runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Members will have exclusive use of a private hotel room for the entire summer season, allowing them to enjoy extended time at the lake without owning a second home.
Memberships also include access to shared amenities such as the waterfront clubhouse, pool and hot tub, swimming dock, boat ramp and outdoor gathering areas, along with member events and social programming.
“Lake Martin is one of the most desirable lake markets in the Southeast, but owning a second home isn’t practical for everyone,” Mann said. “This concept allows families to enjoy the lake all summer long with a dedicated place of their own.”
Auburn football weekend stays

The property will also offer Auburn football weekend packages during the fall season.
Packages will include accommodations Thursday through Saturday, a Friday evening social event and round trip transportation to and from Auburn for the Saturday football game.
Located about 30 minutes from Auburn University, the lodge could provide an additional lodging option during high demand football weekends when hotels in Auburn are often booked.
Opening planned for early May

Renovations and repositioning efforts are currently underway, with plans to begin welcoming guests and members in early May.
Outside of the summer membership season and football weekends, Creekside Lodge will operate as a boutique hotel and event venue for weddings, retreats and private gatherings.
