Prior to the pageant, Stockard sent a message to her home state on social media:
“Tonight, a new Miss America will be crowned. As I step into this evening, I am filled with excitement, honor, and gratitude. Thanking the Lord for placing me here this week and giving me one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Regardless of the outcome, I want to express my deepest thanks to my friends, family, the amazing Miss Alabama board, and the wonderful people of Alabama for making me feel so appreciated and loved. I hope I’ve made you proud and represented you well.”

We think it’s safe to say she represented the state pretty well, becoming the first Alabamian to claim the Miss America title in two decades.
The final competition included evening gown, talent, fitness and a “hot topics” segment. In the latter, Stockard spoke on unemployment, talking about how the state and the country can continue to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The win means Stockard receives the $50,000 scholarship prize.
Ali Mims
It was a good weekend for anyone wearing the Alabama sash this weekend. Ali Mims, the Miss Alabama Teen, was named the first runner-up in the Miss America Teen 2025 competition.
Mims received a $10,000 scholarship.
