Located off New Watermelon Road and Rice Mine Road, this development—currently known as Northriver Commons—is going to be a massive space for the community. In fact, the plan for Northriver Commons will cover almost all of the four-acre lot on the cover of these two streets. The cost for this production is worth roughly $60 million dollars and is expected to bring growth to the North Tuscaloosa community.

Developer Andy Turner and Poole & Co have been planning the details for the past nine months. Check out what’s been in the making for this mixed-use development:

  • A residential space fit for over 300 people.
  • 3 major restaurants.
  • 4-story parking deck.
  • An outdoor stage for live music.

According to WBRC, you can expect this development to be the place for community gatherings in North Tuscaloosa. Look out for construction workers starting January 2023. This mixed-use development is expected 18 months to complete until keep thinking about what restaurants you want to see in North Tuscaloosa!

“We started this project with a vision of community, to bring people together to this area.”

Andy Turner, project developer
