Montgomery hosts America 250 celebration at Capitol
Reading time: 2 minutes

America 250 celebrations will be taking over event spaces and venues across the country over the next six weeks.
Our state got things started Thursday morning when Gov. Kay Ivey hosted a celebration at the Capitol which included live music, speeches and a flyover by four F-35 jets.
“There is no state in the nation who does it quite like Alabama and no one who loves their country more than Alabamians do… This historic summer, the American flag will hang from the Capitol columns. And I invite all my fellow Alabamians and our visitors to come by and check it out.”
