National furniture store chain set to close all 10 Alabama stores [MAP]

Another national furniture store chain is closing its doors in Alabama.
American Freight announced last week it is shuttering all of its 328 locations nationwide, including 10 stores from Huntsville to Mobile. Here is the list of local closings and a map
- Mobile – 3404 Moffett Rd, Unit B
- Montgomery – 231 N Eastern Blvd, Bypass
- Trussville – 3260 Morrow Road
- Huntsville – 2518 Memorial Parkway
- Helena – 4600 Highway 52
- Dothan – 2131 Ross Clark Circle
- Northport – 2300 McFarland Blvd
- Birmingham – 2012 Veterans Memorial Dr.
- Prattville – 1890 E. Main St.
- Birmingham -372 Palisades Blvd.
Other national closings in Alabama
Several popular retail chains have closed in 2024.
Earlier this summer, Conn’s HomePlus, the parent company of Badcock Home Furniture & More, filed for bankruptcy. Presently, 40+ Conn’s and Badcock stores are holding going-out-of-business sales across the state.
In October, the discount store Dirt Cheap, closed nine locations statewide.
In addition to these closure, several national restaurant brands have struggled, including Red Lobster and Red Robin.
