Keep reading for more about Abbie’s win and when you can watch her compete for Miss America.

The path to the crown

The roadway to Miss Alabama starts at local pageants. 40 contestants competed in local pageants winning titles like “Miss Cotton State” and “Miss Covered Bridge” before making it to the main stage in Birmingham.

Contestants arrived on June 23 and began competing on June 26. Each round of competition eliminated more girls until the top five remained.

Events included:

  • Panel interviews with judges
  • Talent showcase
  • Health and fitness
  • Rehearsal for the pageant opening number
  • Evening gown walks

Our winner, Abbie, took home more than just Miss Alabama, she was also awarded:

  • STEM Scholarship finalist
  • Miss Alabama Community Service Award finalist
  • Wednesday evening gown winner
  • Friday night talent winner – performing a contemporary dance to “You Say” by Lauren Daigle.

Abbie was crowned by last year’s winner, Brianna Burrell. Her reign begins immediately with a tour of the state. She will take the main stage for Miss America in January 2025.
