Two Alabama actors took on supporting roles for a new crime thriller featuring Jack Quaid and Jeffrey Dean Morgan called Neighborhood Watch.

Both actors are featured in the trailer for the movie that came out in select theaters on April 25.

Neighborhood Watch

The movie is about a man who thinks he witnesses an abduction but when the police refuse to believe him, he turns to a bitter, retired security guard to help find the missing woman.

The setting of the film is actually Homewood and much of the filming + production happened in the Birmingham area.

Neighborhood Watch has received a score of 76 out of 100 on Metacritic, based off five critic reviews.

“One is hard-pressed to understand why grown-up thrillers like this one don’t get bigger pushes, but if you’re a ‘they don’t make ‘em like they used to’ type when it comes to genre, do have a look at this. It’ll very likely hit an old-school sweet (or sour) spot or two.”

As of April 28, you can rent the movie from home for $6.99 using Apple TV or Fandango at Home.
