Rama Jama’s famous wall damaged after strong storm

Rama Jama’s, a popular Tuscaloosa restaurant, has recently suffered storm damage to their historic ‘Wall of Fame’ on Saturday, June 7.
The wall, which once commemorated The University of Alabama’s 18 national championships and various ESPN visits, partially collapsed due to strong winds and heavy rainfall.
“It didn’t even make a noise. No one really knew it had fallen.”
Lily McBride, server at Rama Jama’s
Rama Jama’s is an iconic spot on game days, nestled right next to Bryant-Denny Stadium. Over the years, it’s become more than just a restaurant; it’s a symbol of Crimson Tide pride and tradition.
The community is devastated to hear of the destruction of a piece of history that once stood strong for nearly 30 years.
Plans for Wall Repair
But in true Alabama spirit, the response is determination. The team at Rama Jama’s is working hard to salvage original pieces of the wall and assess the structural damage.
“We pulled the metal signs down and saved them. All we really have to do is rebuild the wood.
I’m not sure how long that’s going to take, but I do know the plan is to rebuild the wall.”

Despite the setback, Rama Jama’s remains open and busy. The restaurant itself was spared from the storm, and continues to serve its hungry customers.
The ‘Wall of Fame’ may be temporarily down, but the spirit of the Crimson Tide remains strong—rain or shine.
