About Rama Jama’s
Open since 1996, their iconic all-day breakfast menu has people coming back for more. Featuring a variety of sandwiches, shakes, breakfast foods and more—Rama Jama’s is now a staple for many Crimson Tide fans.
Founder Gary Lewis sold the restaurant to golf pro Michael Hebron in 2017. Hebron continues Rama Jama’s the same vision Lewis started with.
“What I’m buying is a breakfast-luncheonette kind of place, with a lot of really cool memorabilia, and it’s across the street from my happy place.”

A look inside Rama Jama’s
The interior is made up of red vinyl seats, checkerboard floors and walls of Crimson Tide decor including helmets, jerseys, calendars, autographed photos, you name it. As you check out what’s inside, you’ll find framed newspaper clippings of big Alabama wins and stadium seats from the past. The history alone makes it a must-see stop when visiting Tuscaloosa.
Sneak peak of the menu
Rama Jama’s is not only a classic game-day spot, but a great restaurant. First gaining recognition for their delicious burgers, they’ve expanded to a wide variety of foods since then.
Rama Jama’s provides plenty of specials including 2-for-1 mimosa buckets every weekend and a crawfish boil with $2 Miller Lites on Thursday nights. This restaurant brings more than great food, but a sense of community and pride throughout Tuscaloosa. Check out their Instagram for more.
