Seafood lovers, you’re in luck! The beautiful Alabama beaches have several seafood staples that are a must try on your next vacation. Keep reading to check out some of our favorite seafood dishes to try in Alabama.

The beaches of Alabama have many different places that serve hand-shucked oysters including oyster bars, seafood restaurants and sports bars. Some of our favorite ways to eat oysters include: Raw, steamed, and Rockefeller. The most popular way to enjoy oysters is to eat them raw, fresh and straight out of the shell!

Shrimp is one of the most popular dishes at any beach restaurant but Royal Reds are iconic among the types of shrimp you can order in Alabama. They are considered to be some of the best shrimp in the Gulf. We recommend stopping by Tacky Jack’s and ordering the Steamed Royal Reds!
