Alabama Audubon protects birds + biodiversity
Alabama Audubon works for the birds and for the people who love them.
Since 1927, Alabama Audubon has aimed to promote conservation and a greater knowledge of bird habitats and the natural world.
The Black Belt Birding Festival aims to bring the benefits of bird-based ecotourism to one of the country’s most economically challenged rural areas.
Featuring a mix of habitats from open grasslands, forests and swamps, you can catch a glimpse of many bird species in beautiful settings.
“It’s a great opportunity to appreciate Alabama’s natural beauty and history. It’s a good place to be if you’re interested in birding and conservation.”
Allison Ciamarra, Communications Coordinator, Alabama Audubon
