Head to the Montgomery Zoo this Friday, December 3, for music, lights and tons of decorations. The Zoo is decked out for the season in their yearly display that will be going on all month long. There will be live entertainment, visits with Santa and exciting holiday fun. Keep reading to find out more,.

Beginning Friday, Dec. 3, guests of the Montgomery Zoo can enjoy a magical Christmas display as the entire park is transformed into a beautiful holiday wonderland. Wander around enjoying the twinkling lights, listening to Christmas music and sipping hot cocoa. Don’t feel like walking? You can take in all the sights from the train or from up high on the sky lift ride.

The Zoo wouldn’t be complete without animals. The Petting Zoo will be open to visitors, with a chance to feed the animals yourself for $2.

See the Christmas Tree Village

Make your way over to the Mann Wildlife Learning Center to see a display of 25 fully decorated Christmas trees. Every tree is decorated to the max thanks to local Montgomery organizations and businesses. You’ll see thousands of holiday ornaments, bows, ribbons and lights brighten the halls of the Wildlife Center.

Once you reach the end of the Christmas Tree village, keep an eye out for Santa. The big man in red and all his elves, will be waiting to greet the kids. Make sure to get a keepsake photo with Santa for only $5.

Catch a Live Performance

Don’t miss out on the live music at the Overlook Cafe. On select nights a variety of performers and entertainment groups will pu you in the holiday spirit with dancing, singing and music.

While you wait for the show to begin, grab a snack at the concessions stand. They’ll have delicious fresh-baked cookies and hot chocolate.
