More on the Singing River Trail

Established in 2018, Singing River Trail is a 220-mile greenway vision connecting communities across the Tennessee Valley. The initiative aims to create opportunities for health and wellness, education, economic development, tourism, entrepreneurship and stronger regional connectivity through trails and community partnerships.
For instance, this particular project represents an investment in Gurley’s connectivity and quality of life by creating stronger links between downtown and the surrounding community with the new trail.
The trail will make it easier for residents and visitors to move between destinations while supporting outdoor recreation and community engagement. The project also advances Singing River Trail’s broader regional vision of connecting North Alabama communities through accessible trail infrastructure.
